Classroom Rules and Expectations for All! Expectations and Rules 1. Be Respectful: Be certain to treat others with respect. Students will be encouraged to share opinions and disagreements in a civil, respectable manner when discussing classroom topics. 2. Be Responsible: Remember to bring everything you need to class and come prepared to work hard while you are here. Each day there will be specific directions on the board for students to follow as they enter the classroom. 3.Raise Your Hand: Respect your classmates and raise your hand before you speak in class. Students are encouraged to share their ideas and opinions in this class, but we must respect one another in the process and always allow others to complete their thoughts without interruption! 4. Ask Questions: Feel free to ask any questions that may come about during a lesson or any part of class. Students are encouraged to ask questions for clarification at any time! We want this learning environment to be a safe and engaging one for all who enter!
Behavior Log: A behavior log will be used by 7th grade teachers to monitor individual student behavior on a daily basis. The average weekly percentage will be entered in PowerSchool each week. Be Responsible : Being prepared for class Following directions/arrival procedures Be Respectful: Obtaining permission to talk in class Being respectful to others/paying attention Be Safe: Obtaining permission to leave your seat.
Students can earn up to five points a day, 25 per week. If the student earns a 90% score or above, they will earn rewards. Any student earning below an 80% will receive a lunch detention. If the student continues to earn below 80% on their weekly behavior, they may lose privileges to attend school-wide events planned throughout the year.
